Hooghly, March 2025: The District Kickboxing Association – WAKO Hooghly, under the dynamic leadership of Founder President Mr. Gaurav Goswami, has taken a groundbreaking step to revolutionize Kickboxing at the grassroots level. In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the association successfully organized an Advanced Kickboxing Camp at TPI Ground on 16.03.2025 in association with the Traditional School of Martial Arts (TSMA) Hooghly.
What makes this initiative truly remarkable is its commitment to inclusivity and development—the entire camp was free of cost, ensuring that no athlete had to bear any expenses to participate. This unique effort aims to strengthen the foundation of Kickboxing in Hooghly, nurturing young talent and providing them with top-tier training opportunities.

The District Kickboxing Association – WAKO Hooghly is the only recognized Kickboxing association in Hooghly, affiliated with the West Bengal Sports Kickboxing Association, WAKO India Kickboxing Federation, and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. It also holds accreditation from the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations (WAKO), recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
All official Kickboxing development initiatives in Hooghly District will be managed exclusively by WAKO Hooghly, ensuring proper structure, training, and opportunities for athletes aspiring to compete at state, national, and international levels.

This free Kickboxing camp is a historic step in promoting combat sports in Hooghly, giving aspiring fighters the platform they need to excel.
