Bihani Academy, a leading CBSE school in Kolkata, proudly organized a free Yoga session for its young and enthusiastic students on 25th April 2025.

As part of its commitment to promoting health and fitness, the school also launched the “NAMO FIT India Club” under the aegis of the Sports Authority of India (Government of India & Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports), in joint collaboration with CCA Academy and TSMA-India.

The FIT India Movement is a national initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 29th August 2019 (on National Sports Day) at Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi. The main goal of the movement is to encourage every Indian citizen — especially the youth — to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle. It aims to make fitness a priority for everyone, promoting simple but regular physical activities in daily life.

Around 30 students actively participated in this inspiring event. The entire school community was highly motivated by the session, and plans are underway to organize a Fitness Week very soon.

Mr. R. Giri, CEO of CCA Academy, expressed his happiness and said,
“We are planning to organize a special Sports Festival at the end of this year to inspire every youth to dedicate at least 30 minutes daily towards their own self-development and fitness.”

Mr. Gaurav Goswami, FIT India Ambassador, was also delighted to witness such activities driven by the Government of India’s initiatives. He shared his vision, saying,
“We are planning to organize an International Level Festival under the FIT India Movement soon.”

The Principal of Bihani Academy was overjoyed with the success of the event and extended heartfelt thanks to the Government for initiating such an inspiring movement for the youth of India.
